Session 1 Saturday 12th January to Saturday 16th February
Session 2 Saturday 23rd February to Saturday 29th March
Emphasis on playing and learning the skills, movements and concepts of the game.
Your child will follow a structured programme in which they
Develop basic skills and movements, enabling them to work within a team
Learn a healthy attitude in the ethos of the game and “fair play”
Learn the basic laws and terminology of the game
Participate in structured rugby games/competitions
Compete within ‘in house’ competitions
Experience game time in every session
Understand safety in rugby activities
All delivered within the most prestigious school in Dubai
Full size grass pitch and dedicated grid teaching areas

Invitation - Dubai Rugby 7’s 2007
Thursday 29th November – Saturday 1st December 2007
Once again I call upon your strength guile and pace to do battle at what will be the Final outing of this wonderful tournament on the current battlefield. Some of you have pre-empted my mail and been in touch with me to see what the drill is, but I have to say up front that I am going to be extremely busy this year with events outside of the 7’s and so therefore maybe fairly ruthless with deadlines, confirmations, photo’s and answers etc. I have drafted in the services of Zarina as my 2IC in helping to collate this information. Please therefore, ensure that in all correspondence you copy Zarina in.
NB: If you don’t and there is break down in comms you may quite easily be overlooked – not intentionally.
Membership criteria
Gentlemen please also remember, that on the off chance you wish to propose friends and colleagues that unless they fit the criteria of Barrelhouse Membership they will be ineligible to play
– that is they will need to have served time as a resident in the Gulf and will need to be vetted and approved by Sir Andrew Jackson, VC, KCBE, DFC, MC and Bar. Only once this has been done should you then consider passing names on for remote and possible consideration.
Passes
I will be selecting the squad based on a past attendance/commitment record, and as we are limited to 15 Passes, PLEASE remember these are all we will get – there are no social passes and I cannot acquire anymore. If you are selected and PLAY you will get a pass – if not you’re going to have to fend for yourselves I’m afraid chaps – you know where we camp, so no excuse for not being there.
Photos/ID
As last year security will be very tight we will be expected to provide photo ID of all players for passes – so you have been selected please double check with Zarina to make sure we have your photo ID from last year. Its upto you to get this to US – I won’t have time to chase too much this year. Zarina knows whose photos we have on file. Please also remember that Zarina will be equally busy so please keep correspondence simple, and concise. She thinks you’re all a grotesquely ugly bunch and so there is little point in trying to flutter your ears at her.
Shirts and Shorts
This year the Right Honourable Andrew Stanley MBE, has been hard at work raising funds for the Final Assault and I am delighted to announce that we have NEW KIT. This will be provided on the day and although Andy has managed to secure these (Shirts and Shorts) free of charge I think it only right that we contribute to the (booze) coffers and as such I shall be asking each of you for Dhs 150 on the day for your kit.
Selection
I have said my piece so in summation I would now like a show of hands of who wishes to be considered for this years tournament – it will be as I say based on previous years playing/attendance record and a first come first served basis. Remember Zarina MUST be copied in.
Now get a move on and enlist and commit!
